The Clerk of Superior Court processes approximately 100 adoptions each year. These adoptions consist of Agency Placement (DFACS), Adult, Embryo, Foreign Decree, Private Placement, Relative, Step-Parent, Third Party and Termination.
Every year, in conjunction with National Adoption Day, DeKalb County Clerk of Superior Court holds an Adoption Day Celebration, to bring awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families.
All other adoptions are processed year round. We look forward to making your adoption process a seamless and happy experience!
